Check out my weekend in the picturesque winter wonderland that is Lake Bled, featuring a quick tour of Ljubljana Castle.

The bluish-green lake, picture-postcard church on an islet, a medieval castle clinging to a rocky cliff and some of the highest peaks of the Julian Alps and the Karavanke as backdrops; that is how picture perfect the Slovenian town of Lake Bled is.

If you get the chance to check out the Ljubljana Castle it’s well worth the stop for the panoramic views of the capital below.
